solid brass chains are for decorative purposes only. While lending itself to
fine casting detail, solid brass is a softer material than steel. For
the protection of property and personal safety, we strongly recommend the use
of steel cable or steel chain to support the weight of heavy chandeliers.
Ornamental brass chain may also be used for other
purposes, such as hanging planters, artwork,
or even as rustic jewelry.
