Seating Rings / Check Rings
Some people
call them seating rings, others call them check rings. The purpose of
these rings is to provide a finished cap to a piece of
tubing or other cylindrical piece, or to act as a separator between glass
pieces, such as center bodies or
bowls, to secure the pieces and minimize the chance of glass breakage.
